The European Broadcast Company is keeping us updated on the situation. Over to the EBC News studio. Silvio, what's up in the sky?
Well Volcanic ash is covering pretty much all of Europe. Almost all of European airspace is closed. It's estimated that the cloud is costing 500 billion euros a day. The weather forecast says that the ash is going to stay over Europe for weeks and the volcano shows no signs of abating. In Warsaw the funeral of the Polish president is missing most the world's leaders because they simply couldn't get there.
